Water, Music, Flower Festival
Tata, 06. 23-25.
The biggest Hungarian family festival is traditionally held in the last weekend of June in Tata. The Water, Music, Flower Festival has a wonderful location, in the center of the historical city, by the Old Lake. The water and flower programs – the water carnival in the Old Lake, with boats lighted by thousands of lanterns, the airshow, or the Hungarian floral design competition in the Castle – give the festival a special beauty.
The music program of the festival is simply amazing, the whole family can find something interesting. On the Ruin pub stage you could have a bottle of Irish music with Paddy and the Rats, on Saturday have a real concert feeling with Russkaja. For the lovers of electrical music the Riska Party Stage offers partying the whole night with Hungarian star DJ’s.
Children will find free fun- park with amusement rides and many programs created especially for them. Sunday and Saturday we organize Duck-run Course next to the Fort where kids can start there own ducks on the course and support them to win. (Finally they will get their own duck as well.)
If you love wine, you have to attend our wine court in the patio of the Castle, where you can find the best wines of the region. For those, who are interested in the history of the city, the 600 hundred years old Castle is free to attend during the festival.
